Creatively and empathetically bringing complicated medical jargon to the masses
Considering I’ve been a nurse for over 40 years and have gone through the wringer with a currently incurable neuromuscular disease, I know the importance of having accessible health information on the internet.

IT'S SO NICE TO MEET YOU.
I’m Teresa, and I write
easy-to-understand health content for all types of publications.
I became a nurse when I was just 21 years old, and although I never considered nursing as a child, all it took was one nurse’s aide class in high school to know that nursing was my calling.

In my 40-plus years as a nurse, I have worked in various specialties such as critical care, obstetrics, emergency, nursing education, diabetes education, wound care, quality consulting, hospice, and peer review (to name a few).
You might have also done the math there and noticed I’m in my 60s — I told you this is my life’s work and I just couldn’t stop caring for people even in retirement. My maturity and experience add to my emotional intelligence.

I decided the best way I could continue to guide people through their health and wellness journeys was by using my nursing experience and master’s degree in education to make complicated medical jargon easy to understand.

So, I write for those who are “health-curious” all the way to those with challenging medical conditions to help everyone in either category (and everyone in-between) heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ME:
I want to share a balanced, grace-filled perspective of Christianity.
I want people (especially doctors and nurses) to know about Charcot-Marie-Tooth Disease and what it is like to live with it.
I'm a wife, mother, and grandmother, and my family means to everything to me.
I have a few fur babies, too.
I have a heart for women with unplanned pregnancies. I’m an advocate for post-abortive women who need support and forgiveness.
I want to help women in difficult situations find safety and healing, and am passionate about ending human trafficking.
My mission is to educate, inspire, and advocate.
I particularly enjoy writing for those who suffer with a physical challenge, emotional conflict, or spiritual turmoil.
